How to Cheat in Maya by Kevin Roy
Although 2014 is the year I'm familiar with, any of the How to Cheat in Maya books are a good investment. While not rigging specific, they contain a lot of great information concerning Maya and her never ending complexities.

Rig it Right by Tina O'Hailey
If you're interested in continuing on to rig a character, I can not recommend this book more. Tina has a sense of humor and a ridiculous understanding not only of rigging, but of animators dreading it. It's a dream book if you're a bit wary to go down the rigging road, and you will be a master by its end.
Animator Friendly Rigging by Jason Schliefer
This four part series comes in PDF format, and was designed by a rigger who understood how difficult rigging can be to grasp. He breaks down concepts with plenty of animation-friendly sketches and references. Great instruction for beginning riggers and animators alike.
